Description
"In 1968, an American patrol in Vietnam is ambushed by a force of the North Vietnamese Army. Two soldiers get separated from their squad, and climbing through the dense jungle to escape, take refuge in a cave. There they discover a priceless artifact. Realizing they cannot take it back with them, they bury it in the cave with plans to return after the war to retrieve it. That plan was forgotten with the collapse of the South Vietnamese government. Ten years later, between career failures and PTSD, their lives have not gone well. They hire a former Green Beret who left the army in disillusionment after the U.S. pulled out of Vietnam to lead them into the jungle to find the cave. His real motive, however, is not the same as theirs. It is a story of courage, greed, patriotism and redemption." - from back cover
