This book explores the many and varied career opportunities the US Army offers, the requirements recruits must meet to qualify for each job, and descriptions of the training and working conditions they will experience. The main mission of soldiers is to safeguard the nation s freedom. But doing that today requires soldiers not only to wield weapons but to perform many high-tech tasks from flying military drones to capturing and translating enemy communications and even navigating a fleet of boats that is a key part of Army transportation.
